The Pennsylvania Society for Clinical Social Work (PSCSW) was established in 1971
to promote and advance the specialization of clinical practice within the social work profession.
We're an organization of clinical social workers who practice in a variety of settings across Pennsylvania, including:
Family agencies, Mental health clinics, Psychiatric hospitals, Medical facilities, Geriatric settings, Schools and Private practice.

The PSCSW Advocacy Fund supports our efforts to champion clinical social work through legislative action, including initiatives like joining the interstate compact. Together, we can advance the profession and make a meaningful impact! Advocacy is at the heart of our mission—empowering social workers to influence policy, protect client rights & promote systemic change for a more just and equitable society. The organization works towards having an environment in which differences are valued & celebrated to create a platform for social change. LEARN ABOUT PSCSW!

“Joining The Pennsylvania Society for Clinical Social Work has been one of the most rewarding decisions of my professional life. As a clinical social worker, I’ve found the community to be incredibly supportive, intellectually stimulating, and deeply committed to advancing our field. The continuing education opportunities are top-notch—relevant, accessible, and always grounded in the latest research and best practices. I’ve also benefited immensely from the peer consultation groups, which have helped me navigate complex clinical situations with confidence and clarity. Most importantly, PSCSW has given me a sense of belonging and purpose, connecting me with colleagues who share my values and passion for ethical, client-centered care. I’m proud to be a member and grateful for all the ways PSCSW has enriched my practice.” - Sally Z., Member
