About this event

IMPORTANT: This encore event will be a prerecorded session being replayed from our January 24th event. This is NOT a live virtual event.

In search of healthy, sustainable relationships, many experience challenges and relational trauma. Relational trauma refers to the emotional distress that arises from harmful experiences within significant relationships, particularly during formative years, and can profoundly impact an individual's mental health and sense of self. The journey to healing relational trauma is complex, and knowledge and skills to support clients through the recovery process, guiding them toward emotional healing and healthier relationship dynamics, are needed. This training will equip therapists with strategies and tools to effectively support clients.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Recognize and Identify the Signs of Harmful Relationships
  • Provide therapists with strategies to help clients manage the emotional complexities of letting go of a toxic relationship.
  • Recognize strategies to support clients in creating and nurturing relationships built on trust and equality, and how to establish and maintain healthy relationships by setting clear boundaries.
  • Introduce tools such as self-reflection, personal growth exercises, and promote the development of healthier self-esteem and self-perception to foster client empowerment.
