Description & Reason for Film Choice:
An emotional and provocative series, 'In Treatment' brings dynamic focus to a staple of modern society - the psychotherapy session. Adapted from a popular Israeli series, the show follows psychoanalyst Paul Weston (Gabriel Byrne, who won a Golden Globe® for his role) through his week, capturing sessions with his patients (www.hbo.com). The series presents a unique opportunity to explore a variety of clinical issues and ethical dilemmas including preconceived notions of “best care” practices. The attendees will also have the opportunity to consider how they would respond to the scenarios presented in the show in a critical and dynamic dialogue with colleagues.
